A Unique Parent-Run Cooperative School in Dorchester for Children 2.9 to 5 Years Old

Ashmont Nursery School is a non-profit, non-sectarian, cooperative pre-school for children aged 2.9 (as of September 1) to 5. It is located at One Ashmont Street in Dorchester - near Codman Square and accessible by T (Ashmont Station). Facilities include a spacious indoor play area with a wide variety of materials and a fully equipped outdoor play yard. The school is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

The school is a parent-run cooperative dedicated to fostering exploration, play, and the lifelong love of learning. Under the guidance and in partnership with our certified teachers, the parents will form a community that will encourage caring for all of the children and families, a sharing of ideas, skills, concerns, and values.
